A ) None of the played bys are reserved if listed as open in the
canon listings. A player can use them for an entirely different
character if they wish, and the staff will change the canon's
played by. The only time a played by or name is reserved is if
the character is reserved.
B ) All information is subject to change if the person adopting them wishes to.

affiliation information
TORCHWOOD ) There are a few things to remember if you decide to have your character a part of the Institute. One of them is, how did they become a part or why are they a part? We allow as many people as they want to be part of the team right now, but we are also letting in people like Ria Bao or Mihira. These two examples can show you that you don't have to be an actual team member to be a part of Torchwood. Mihira, for example, is listed as Torchwood property. Ria was found by Torchwood, and is being helped but by them. Since Gwen Cooper has taken more of a 'leader' position in the team, we figure she would want to help out people, not just fight off threats. Also remember to ask yourself, how do they feel about Torchwood? What they do, how they work, the stages of command...? This is important if you want your character to get past the careful inspection of Fiver Rye (are they dangerous in a physical sense, what abilities or thing do we have to worry about, are they a threat...), Avis Ives (are they mentally healthy, are they trying to infiltrate Torchwood as a part of attack, is there anything we should know about them, are they in need of Torchwood help or imprisonment for their safety or others...?), and lastly the final say of Gwen Cooper and Jack Harkness. We do ask that you contact the staff through the 'admin' account before you create your character, just so we can work everything out before hand.
PHOENIX SOCIETY ) If possible, the Society is even more careful with being kept under wraps. There is a possibility Torchwood doesn't even know about it. The nicknamed 'Anti-Torchwood', will be even harder for your character to get into. You must have a good reason of how they started, and why they are kept a part of it. Also, why are they a part? What made them so determined to join? Why do they resent Torchwood? We do ask that you contact the staff through the 'admin' account before you create your character, just so we can work everything out before hand.
TIME AGENCY ) Jack Harkness was told in the start of the second season that the Agency only had seven members left and that it had been shut down. This is only half true (were you really going to trust Captain John Hart?), because in fact there are more than seven members left. The Agency is closed now, but the former members are still around. They have either gone their separate ways, or still traveling around the universe, or well, dead. The Agency shut down years ago, so any members under their late twenties will not be accepted for accuracy reasons. Also, if your character is so young, how did they become part of the Agency? the Time Agency may not be as tightly secured as Torchwood or Phoenix, but you have to be an expert in your field, useful, and experienced.
UNIT ) As a branch of the government, if you character is a part of them, then they are basically a (remember those awesome red hats?) solider. You are a private and skilled army and must be so. Your character probably won't be much older than forty if they are a part unless they are a commanding officer, medic or something of that sort. You have to be nearly an expert in your field, even if you field just means blowing the heads off an alien. Some people from UNIT have been known to switch to the Phoenix Society, Time Agency or Torchwood. Or may just be well affiliated with one of the other institutes (like Martha Jones and Torchwood).
INMATE ) We are focusing on one certain group of prison escapees in this affiliation; the Elvem Solun (Lighter Suns) Woman's Infirmary where a large group where transported through the rift to 21st Century Cardiff. Some are working close with Phoenix, and others reeking havoc on their own.
NEUTRAL ) If your character is neutral, they are either a former Time Agent (they are listed as a Time Agent though) or just someone who has no ties with anyone. Civilians are also Neutral.
DECEASED ) If your character is deceased, they are obviously dead. However, we do allow forms of resurrection. Owen Harper, Ianto Jones, Toshiko Sato... really almost anyone can be brought back to life. There are a number of ways, and since this is science fiction and anything can happen, be creative! Did your character come through the rift from an alternate dimension? Did someone test the third, fourth, or hundredth (aliens can have any numbers of arms, so...)risen mitten resurrection glove on them and now they are stuck in the land of the living? Please make sure you have a good reason how or why they are alive, even if they don't know it. We do ask that you contact the staff through the 'admin' account before you create your character, just so we can work everything out before hand.
